About Michaela
Michaela Hollyfield is an artist living and working in Fishguard, Pembrokeshire.
Much of the stunning Pembrokeshire landscape influences her work.
Michaela paints mainly in oils. She prefers to work on sized but unprimed canvas, and board which is either sized or primed with gesso. Her work is an eclectic mix of figurative, landscape and abstraction.
She moves between representational work and intuitively led work. Her body of work spans from 2015 to now, using different motifs as inspiration.
Because of the duality of her practice she feels that the consistent thread in all of the different bodies of her work is her expressive use of colour.
Her studio is in the shed at the bottom of her garden.
MIchaela exhibits locally and participates in the North Pembrokeshire Open Studios from August 22nd to September 6th.
She welcomes visitors during this time, and any people wishing to see her work or visit her studio any othe time need only send an email or call.
